How is Instagram changing their advertising? What industry is using B2B ecommerce more? Let’s get down to what happened in commerce and tech news in the last week. This post is curated to help tune-out some of that noise and turn it into information that matters.
WHAT'S GOING ON IN COMMERCE THIS WEEK?
Promote Your Stories on InstaGram
Promoting your tweets and LinkedIn posts are almost second nature to many businesses, but now, Instagram has given them the option to promote their stories too. Sure, there's been ads on stories for awhile, but businesses can now target people like their followers to show their stories to them without the person even have to be following. How will this play out? Will users get annoyed or get used to it?
B2B Ecommerce Growing in the Agriculture Industry
New Polaris Research shows that the agricultural industry is increasingly using ecommerce for their business. More and more, they're seeing the benefits of cutting out middlemen in order to get their products out to retailers and everything through the use of B2B ecommerce. But it goes both ways, where they can use it to purchase things as well. Find out more about the effect it's having in the article down below.
Real-Time Payments Key for B2B Businesses
PYMNTS surveyed B2B businesses and asked them about their payment habits. Is it surprising that 20% of those surveyed disliked using checks because of fraud concerns and 18% didn't like it because they're expensive? Real-time payments not only help get rid of that, but it also is less of a waiting game for everyone involved. It's why it's not surprising that Mastercard is seeing a growth in B2B payments. It's one of the ways that B2B needs to evolve and there is a market for it too.
